Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the rules and guidelines for using the Envelope website and service located at https://envelope-beryl.vercel.app/ (the "Service"), operated by Nesoi Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.

General Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this AUP. You are responsible for all content and activity associated with your account, including the PWAs you create, apps built with the AI builder, content generated or distributed through enabled modules, and the install pages generated through the Service.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to create, distribute, or promote PWAs, built apps, or content that:

Impersonation and Deception

  • Impersonate or misrepresent affiliation with any person, company, or organization
  • Use the name, logo, icon, or branding of another company or product without authorization
  • Create fake or misleading versions of existing apps or services
  • Deceive end users about the source, origin, or functionality of the PWA or built app

Malicious or Harmful Content

  • Contain or distribute malware, viruses, spyware, or other malicious code
  • Facilitate phishing, credential harvesting, or other fraudulent schemes
  • Redirect users to malicious or deceptive websites
  • Exploit security vulnerabilities or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems

Illegal Content and Activity

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
  • Distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal transactions
  • Promote or facilitate violence, terrorism, or human trafficking

Harmful or Objectionable Content

  • Contain sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Promote harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Exploit or endanger minors in any way
  • Contain content that is defamatory, threatening, or abusive

Spam and Abuse

  • Send unsolicited messages or promotions
  • Generate artificial traffic, installs, or engagement
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Circumvent any limitations or restrictions we place on your account

AI Builder Misuse

When using the AI app builder, you may not:

  • Attempt to generate malicious code, including malware, exploits, phishing pages, or code designed to compromise end-user devices or data
  • Attempt to escape the builder sandbox or access systems, files, or resources outside the intended build environment
  • Use the builder to produce tools intended for cyberattacks, unauthorized surveillance, or exploitation of vulnerabilities
  • Generate code that violates the intellectual property rights of others
  • Publish or distribute AI-generated code without first reviewing it for errors, security vulnerabilities, and compliance with applicable laws

Your responsibility for AI-generated outputs. The AI builder generates code and content using third-party AI models. AI-generated outputs may contain errors, security vulnerabilities, or unintended functionality. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating all AI-generated code and content before publishing, deploying, or distributing it to end users. Publishing AI-generated output without adequate review does not diminish your responsibility for that content under this Policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.

Push Notification Misuse

When using the push notifications module, you may not:

  • Send unsolicited, misleading, or deceptive notifications to end users
  • Use notifications for phishing, impersonation, or social engineering
  • Send notification content that is abusive, threatening, or hateful
  • Exceed reasonable notification frequency in a way that constitutes spam

AI Chatbot and Voice Assistant Misuse

When configuring or using the AI chatbot or voice assistant modules, you may not:

  • Configure system prompts designed to deceive, manipulate, or socially engineer end users
  • Use these modules to impersonate real people, companies, or government entities
  • Configure the chatbot or voice assistant to provide harmful, dangerous, or illegal advice (such as medical, legal, or financial advice presented as authoritative)
  • Use these modules to extract sensitive personal information from end users under false pretenses

Image Generation and Upload Misuse

When using the images module, you may not:

  • Generate or upload sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene imagery
  • Generate or upload realistic depictions of real people without their consent (deepfakes)
  • Generate or upload imagery depicting child exploitation or abuse
  • Generate or upload content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity
  • Use generated images to deceive others about the authenticity of the content

KV Store Misuse

When using the key-value data storage module, you may not:

  • Store illegal content, including child exploitation material, stolen data, or pirated intellectual property
  • Use the KV store to harvest, aggregate, or exfiltrate end-user personal data without their informed consent
  • Store credentials, tokens, or secrets belonging to other users or services without authorization
  • Use the KV store to facilitate any illegal transaction or activity

Geolocation Misuse

When using the geolocation module, you may not:

  • Track, surveil, or stalk any individual without their knowledge and explicit consent
  • Collect or store location data of end users without clear disclosure and consent
  • Use geolocation data for purposes that violate applicable privacy laws
  • Share end-user location data with third parties without informed consent

Web Search Misuse

When using the web search (Perplexity AI) module, you may not:

  • Use the search module for automated scraping or systematic data harvesting
  • Build apps that use the search module to aggregate copyrighted content at scale
  • Use the search module to generate misleading, fabricated, or deceptive content presented as factual
  • Circumvent Perplexity AI's own terms of service or usage policies

Envelope Auth Misuse

When using Envelope Auth, you may not:

  • Harvest, collect, or misuse end-user credentials or authentication tokens
  • Use the authentication system to impersonate end users or gain unauthorized access to their data
  • Build apps that trick users into providing credentials for other services through Envelope Auth
  • Share, sell, or otherwise distribute end-user authentication data

Rate Limit Circumvention

You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions imposed by the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Creating multiple accounts to bypass per-account limits
  • Using automated tools or scripts to exceed request quotas
  • Exploiting API endpoints to avoid throttling mechanisms
  • Distributing requests across accounts or IP addresses to evade limits

Circumventing rate limits may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Your Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account and PWAs
  • Only use content (names, icons, images) that you have the right to use
  • Clearly disclose to end users what data your app collects, how modules are used, and what third-party services process their data
  • Implement your own terms of service and privacy policy for any app you build or distribute through the Service that collects personal data from end users, including through the use of modules such as Envelope Auth, Geolocation, KV Store, or Push Notifications
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Promptly report any security vulnerabilities or violations of this policy you discover
  • Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is using the Service in violation of this AUP, please report it to us at support@envelope.build. Include as much detail as possible, such as the URL of the install page or app and a description of the violation.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this AUP. Actions we may take include:

  • Issuing a warning
  • Removing or disabling specific PWAs, built apps, or install pages
  • Disabling specific modules on an app
  • Suspending or terminating your account
  • Reporting violations to law enforcement authorities
  • Pursuing legal remedies

We may take these actions without prior notice. Repeated or severe violations will result in immediate account termination.

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may contact us at support@envelope.build to request a review. We will make reasonable efforts to review your request and respond, but the final decision remains at our sole discretion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
